VP Candidates

Lately I have gotten a bit interested in the decisions about who will be the nominees for Vice President. All the talk about Hillary has died down a bit, but I believe here surrogates are working hard to see that she gets the nod. The field narrowed a bit in the past few days when a couple of congressmen were revealed to have contacted mortgage lenders about sweetheart deals.

Also, it will be interesting to see if McCain will hold his nose and ask rival Mitt Romney to run with him!

This just in (Muncie Free Press) from Indiana's leading political analyst and commentator, Brian Howey:

"My Prediction: A month ago, I would have been comfortable predicting a McCain-Romney ticket. But if McCain wants to attract Hillary Clinton voters, he might look at young, attractive Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin who is creating considerable buzz these days. If I had to bet: McCain-Palin. At this point, I think the gender opportunity trumps geography."

interesting possibility, but doesn't that undermine his ability to focus on the experience issue with Obama?
