Derek Jeter In A Taxing Situation

Derek Jeter may be about to take a hit to his checking account. He has been named in a tax evasion case, having claimed that his primary residence is Florida rather than New York. He was trying to avoid the state income tax imposed on New York residents.

If New York officials are able to prove that Jeter lives primarily in his apartment in the Trump Tower, he will be responsible for paying taxes for several years that he has not paid. He may have to move his funds from a Platinum checking account to a free checking account that charges no fees!
