Rejuvenated

 

It is been almost 8 years since I posted a blog, and I'm not exactly sure why am posting one today. Perhaps it's that I've gotten a bit nostalgic since I run across the link to my blog site. Or maybe it is that I'm just feeling a bit rejuvenated about a lot of things in my life.

 

About 5 years ago I left the congregation I had been serving for 29 years  as preacher. We moved out to the desert,  where in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.we made some new friends and saw some sites we would never of seen had we stayed in the upper Gulf Coast of Texas. The COVID outbreak in America took place while we were living in Arizona.

In late 2020, we moved back to South Texas, now living in Wharton. I am ministering for the Abell Street congregation as we seek the new norm after the pandemic. I am not sure if it is the new work or the reception that I'm getting as the new minister, probably a combination of both, but I am truly invigorated to do the work, to minister to the people in this community, and hopefully grow this congregation back to a vibrant and thriving spiritual family.

Waiting 8 years between blog posts is not a way to build a following, but if you happen to read this little post, offer a prayer of thanksgiving and a petition for our success as we go forward!
